We can cover any topic associated with conducting in your lessons. This will be based on your prior experience and future goals. You are welcome to a free thirty-minute meeting with me to determine what you hope to accomplish, and how frequently you want lessons. The lessons are tailored to your needs.

Areas of focused study can include such topics as:

• Developing stick technique and body movement

• Score study, including interpretation of standard repertoire and new music

• Planning, preparation and rehearsal psychology

• Anticipation of musical problems prior to rehearsal

• Conducting to film and other media / working with a click track

• Critical skills for working with soloists - the art of collaboration

• Working in the pit - opera, musical theatre and dance

• Repertoire selection and programming
