JOHN ROSCIGNO, CONDUCTOR 

Conductor John Roscigno has spent an entire career conducting professional, collegiate and youth orchestras throughout the United States. His extensive experience includes work in the genres of orchestral music, operatic literature, musical theatre, wind ensembles and new music. He has taught conducting throughout his career and is always thrilled to share the complexities and challenges of this art form with students.

In addition to his expansive knowledge of standard and contemporary literture, he is equally at home collaborating in non-classical genres. His past experience includes collaborations with:

  • Composer George Crumb

  • Percussionist Evelyn Glennie

  • Rock Musician Serj Tankian

  • Mariachi Superstar Aida Cuevas

  • Contemporary Christian Artist Twila Paris

  • Frequent work with movie composers

Other career highlights include:

  • Mentor for multiple young conductors who went on to successful careers in the profession

  • Premiering nearly 100 new works as a conductor and performer

  • Lifetime of experience in areas of symphonic, opera and musical theatre 

  • Years of experience as Professor of Music at California State University, Northridge, University of Central Arkansas, University of Arizona and Auburn University.

  • Extensive background as a collaborative pianist and orchestral percussionist.
